Applications are now being accepted for 2014 CBA and IBS&E classes

We only offer
Distance Learning Programs

Brewers currently working in breweries are able to study for an industry-respected brewing qualification, and those looking to switch careers can study and train while keeping their day jobs.
We do not currently offer residential classes.

January 2012 Classes are full and are about to get started. They graduate this summer at Hoppy Brewing in Sacramento.
July 2011 classes are finished, and graduated this last November at Harpoon Brewery in Windsor Vermont. Applications are closed for June 2012, January 2013 and June 2013 Classes.

Classes in 2012, and going forward, will be spending their final weeks of training at our own state of the art facility in Middlebury, Vermont. We have our own packaging brewery, classroom and teaching laboratory allowing us to offer a unique learning experience. Follow our progress at https://www.facebook.com/dropinbrewing

Scholarship
We're proud to announce that Anthony Stone of Boundary Bay Brewing Company is the winner of the Glen Hay Falconer Scholarship sponsored by the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation . He will take his slot in the January 2012 IBS&E class. Congratulations Anthony.

The American Brewers Guild and Berkshire Brewing Company are  proud to announce the 2011 Greg Noonan Scholarship has been awarded to Dana Bourque of Stafford Springs, CT.  There were many excellent and very deserving candidates. It was a very difficult decision for the selection committee and not one that they made lightly. Greg would have been proud to know that such worthy people wish to carry on his legacy in the Craft Brewing Industry. The proceeds from  the sale of a special barrel aged Wee Heavy Scotch Ale, brewed by Berkshire Brewing in honor of Greg, funded the tuition for this scholarship.

We are very excited to announce that Harpoon Brewery, in Windsor Vermont, will be our host for the residential week of the November 2011 classes. Harpoon Brewery has been a friend of the Guild for a very long time, providing instructors, hosting interns and employing our graduates.  We're very excited by this news

New Class for working brewers

Working brewers can complete the Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering Program without attending the residential week in California or Vermont. With your head brewer's sponsorship you can complete your studies in your own brewery.
